The Executive Committee agreed to refer a grievance with regard to Travel -- Expenses to the Government Travel Committee.
The Executive Committee asked the General Secretary to inform the Government Travel Committee that when past decisions have allowed retroactive payments, the effective date is no sooner that 25 days prior to the date the grievance was filed. The Travel Committee's mandate will therefore be limited to reviewing whether the grievor was treated within the intent of the Directive during the 25 days preceding the date of the grievance.
