POLICY NOTICE
Foreign Service Directives Committee
The following changes to Foreign Service Directive 55 (FSD 55), as indicated below, are effective June 1, 2008.
1. Appendix A to FSD 55 – Post Living allowance is revised, from time to time, in accordance with the methodology agreed to in the National Joint Council Committee on Foreign Service Directives.
2. The NJC Foreign Service Directives Committee, in collaboration with Statistics Canada, has revised and approved the Post Living Allowance rates effective June 1, 2008.
3. Transitional provisions under FSD 55.02, as well as Appendices B and C are no longer in effect as the grandfathering clause expired in 2006. FSD 55.02 and Appendices B and C have therefore been removed from the Directive. As a result, Appendix A has been renamed as Appendix.
