21.4.634

The Executive Committee considered a grievance in regard to the relocation - meal allowance provided for under section 2.12.6 of the Relocation Directive, as a result of a temporary dual residence assistance from October 1994 to October 1995.

The Committee noted that the grievor was provided a living expense allowance under section 2.12.3 given that he was living in a Crown-owned accommodation. The NJC Executive Committee reviewed the intended scope of section 2.12.6 and agreed that the 65% of the meal allowance for dinner only applies to employees occupying commercial accommodations. Therefore, the grievor was treated within the intent of the Directive.

The grievance was denied.
