The Executive Committee considered a grievance with regard to Travel - Expenses.
The NJC Bylaws provide for the presentation of a grievance not later than the twenty-fifth (25th) day after the date on which an employee is notified or becomes aware of the action or circumstance giving rise to the grievance.
In this particular case, the Executive Committee noted that the grievance was filed on May 9, 1997. As it was understood, the grievor sought retroactive payments for the period of May 1995 to March 1997, the Committee agreed that the grievance was untimely.
