A bargaining agent requested an interpretation of the Isolated Posts Directive in regard to the classification of Mayo, Y.T.

The Administrative Committee noted that the report of the Isolated Posts Committee stated that Statistics Canada had advised, that according to their information, there has been no change in the population and that living conditions have net changed in Mayo. When the census is available in March of 1987, the environmental allowance will be reviewed and adjusted accordingly.

The Administrative Commit tee further noted that should additional information be made available the Isolated Posts Committee would review the request again. The Administrative Commit tee agreed with the report of the Isolated Posts Committee in that the employees in Mayo were being treated within the intent of the Directive.
