The grievor sought to have the department rescind a decision to move the grievor to other living accommodation.
The grievor had been posted abroad on the understanding that the accommodation would be of certain size. After living in the accommodation for more than a year the grievor was to be moved to smaller accommodation.
There was an attempt during the course of the grievance process to find a solution to the problem. The grievor was posted back to Canada some 10 months following the filing of the grievance.
The Executive Committee agreed that as the grievor was no longer at the post there was no corrective action that could be taken. Therefore any decision by the Executive Committee in regard to the grievance could have no effect.
