The grievor sought payment of actual expenses for meals and incidentals above the cost of laundry.
While travelling abroad the grievor obtained receipts for certain meals during the day and not for other meals during the same day. The grievor also submitted receipts for laundry which exceeded the total for incidentals for the time period in question. The total of the receipts for laundry were reimbursed.
The Administrative Committee considered and agreed with the report of the Government
Travel Committee in that the grievor was treated within the intent of the Directive as both the meal rates and the incidental expenses were reimbursed in accordance with the Travel Directive. Receipts for actual and reasonable expenses were not submitted for all meals on each day in question; and the grievor requested to be reimbursed actual incidentals therefore becoming ineligible for the per diem incidental allowance.
The grievance was denied.
