FSD 25 - Accommodation Deficiency Adjustment

The grievor sought a deficiency adjustment of 25% above the 30% already granted to account for an exceptional small apartment at a post abroad.

The Administrative Committee considered and the report of the Foreign Service Directives Committee and a letter from the department.

Mr. Myers also reported on his recent trip to the post and supplied the Administrative Committee with a number of photographs of housing at the post.

The Administrative Committee agreed to recommend that the grievor be allowed a 40% deficiency adjustment for the period that he was resident in the apartment.

To the extent that the above meets the corrective action sought the grievance was upheld.
