Background
The employee grieved the employer's refusal to reimburse travel expenses.
Executive Committee Decision
The Executive Committee considered the information provided in this case and agreed that the employee was not on travel status. It was noted that the employee reported to a medical appointment on a non-working day to obtain a medical certificate which was a condition of her employment. The Travel Directive does not provide for the reimbursement of travel expenses for personal travel. The grievance was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
