The grievor sought an amount equal to the amount that would have been spend on travel assistance had the employee been authorized to travel while still at the post abroad.

The grievor's posting was terminated early when housing suitable to the grievor was not available at the post.

The Executive Committee concluded that the grievor was treated within the intent of the Directive in that Section 50.09 (a) of the Foreign Services Directive 50 states the following:

"All travel entitlements as per the Schedule to this directive may be taken at any time during a posting, but all such travel entitlements automatically lapse on the termination of each posting."

The grievance was denied.
