Background

The employees grieved the department's refusal to reimburse kilometric rates and meal allowances.

Executive Committee Decision

The Executive Committee considered the grievances and agreed that as the grievors' collective agreement contains a specific provision concerning travel conditions, it determined, in accordance with previous decisions, that the National Joint Council has no jurisdiction to review these grievances. As such the grievances are denied for lack of jurisdiction.
