The employees grieved management's failure to pay a reasonable rate of mileage reimbursement under the NJC Travel Directive.
The Executive Committee found that the corrective action sought by the grievors was in fact a request to change the kilometric rate of the NJC Travel Directive. The Executive Committee accordingly determined that it lacked jurisdiction to take such action as the grievance procedure cannot be used to amend a directive.
