The Executive Committee considered a grievance in regard to child care expenses while in travel status.

The Committee determined that, at the material times covered by the grievance, the employee was treated within the intent of the Travel Directive then in effect. In essence, the grievor sought through the grievance process either to amend the content of the directive then in effect or to alter the effective date of new provisions of the directive which were subsequently authorized. The Executive Committee determined that the grievance process is not appropriately used for these purposes. The Executive Committee has accordingly denied the grievance.
