Background

The employees grieved the department's failure to reimburse travel expenses over the period June 2003 and September 2004 (1st grievor) and August 2003 to April 2004 (2nd grievor).

Executive Committee Decision

The Executive Committee considered the report of the Government Travel Committee.  Although it was agreed that the situation represented a workplace change as defined in 1.9.1 of the Travel Directive the parties could not come to agreement with regard to the entitlements in regard to this grievance.  As such, the Committee reached an impasse.
