The grievor sought reimbursement under FSD 15 for a camera and equipment which were stolen while the grievor was on vacation en route to a posting abroad.
The Administrative Committee considered the report of the Foreign Service Directives
Committee and noted that the Committee had not reached consensus on intent.
The Administrative Committee agreed that compensation could not be claimed for loss or damage to personal effects and/or accompanying baggage while an employee is in travel status.
The grievance was denied.
