Background
The employees were previously provided with underground parking at a hospital (workplace) and other medical facilities within the community. The practice was discontinued and arrangements were made for free parking at an alternate lot and provided shuttle bus services to the various medical facilities. As such, the employees were notified that reimbursement of parking fees would cease effective July 26, 2004.
The employees grieved management's decision to terminate reimbursement of parking fees at their workplace. The employees requested that parking be reinstated at the workplace facilities.
Executive Committee Decision
The Executive Committee agreed that the NJC does not have jurisdiction to deal with this issue.
