Quarterly Report to the National Joint Council (June 2019)
- The Committee has met once (1) since the last Council meeting.
Cyclical review activities:
- On April 4, 2019, the Executive Committee was informed of the results of the Opting Call letter with respect to the Occupational Health and Safety Directive, Uniforms Directive and First Aid to the General Public – Allowance for Employees.
- The results were discussed by the Executive Committee at its yearly planning session. Ongoing discussions are underway between the parties with respect to a number of “new” items identified by the General Secretary, where consultation was declined by the Employer Side. It is anticipated that the Executive Committee will be in a position to refer the review of these three Directives to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee at the Executive Committee’s next meeting.
Next meeting: August 15, 2019 (CR)
